The 3M Economic Education Excellence Award recognizes teachers who have a sustained history of commitment and contribution to economic education.
Winners of the 3M Economic Education Excellence Award receive cash prizes and are honored at the Annual Meeting of the Illinois Council on Economic Education, held at the Union League Club in Chicago in October.

Timeline and Application Process
3M Economic Education Excellence Awards will be given at the Illinois Council on Economic Education Annual Meeting awards luncheon in October of each year. Winners will be selected based on their long-standing history of involvement in the field of economic education and on their excellence in teaching economics. Nominations/entries for the 3M Economic Education Excellence Awards are accepted throughout each academic year. Nominations may be made by a supervisor/ administrator, a colleague, a local Center/ Office for Economic Education, the ICEE staff, or by the nominee (self-nomination).
In order to be considered for the 2008-2009 academic year, nominations/entries are due no later than July 15, 2009.
