Beth Metzler

Beth has been an advocate of financial literacy throughout her adult life.  After joining Econ Illinois, she became actively involved in economic education as well.  She coordinated The Stock Market Game ™ (SMG) program with Marty Paul, and continues to provide curriculum support for teachers using the SMG program.

Currently, Beth oversees the Illinois Personal Finance Challenge and Economics Challenge competitions for high school students.  Beth also manages teacher award programs, conducts professional development workshops and oversees communications with Illinois legislators on behalf of Econ Illinois’ program participants.  Beth works to build partnerships with other educational organizations throughout the state to expand the Council’s reach to K-12 teachers.
