Econ Illinois:
Economics Challenge
Eligibility for participation
The competition is open to all Illinois high school students enrolled in an economics or economics-related course during the current school year, competing in teams of four (three may compete if a teammate is unable to attend.) Teachers will need to certify that their competing students meet the criteria for their division:
The Adam Smith Division - students enrolled in an Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Honors, college level or two-semester economics course.
The David Ricardo Division - students enrolled in all other general economics or one-semester high school economics courses.
What about consumer education or personal finance students?
Students not enrolled in an economics or economics-related course during the current school year, but taking a state-mandated consumer education or personal finance course may participate in Econ Illinois' Illinois Personal Finance Challenge.
